Safety at Rockoldeon
Manchester Christian Church offers an environment that is safe physically, emotionally and spiritually for children.
Physical safety is provided through a very strict application process of every adult volunteer. This process includes criminal background checks, minimum length of attendance at MCC, reference checks, and initial training as well as policies that require a minimum of two adults with children at all times. Our policy manuals are available at the Family Resource Center Counter, room 105.
Emotional safety is provided by adults who are positive, welcoming, and sincere. Children are accepted and affirmed for who they are and nurtured through kind words and actions.
Spiritual safety is provided by understanding that children are at different places spiritually. Children will not be put on the spot to know Biblical concepts. The environment allows for hard faith questions to be asked. We never coerce children into making spiritual decisions.
