Here at Manchester Christian Church, our Children’s Ministry is built around the truth that God really loves kids. We believe God created kids to have a relationship with Him, that families are important, and that God is inviting every child to be a part of His church.

You’re always welcome here because we always welcome everyone here, and you will have fun. I’ve learned that God will always be with us no matter what, and He always loves us. I’ve learned that we pray for one, that we ask God for one person to share God’s love with.
— Sadie, age 9

In everything we do, we want kids to connect with the God who loves them, to know who He is, and learn the amazing story of His love for us. We help kids connect with God by creating age-appropriate classrooms, sharing Bible stories every week, and encouraging kids to talk with God and listen to what He has to say.

We think life is way more fun when we do it together! Our goal is to help kids make new friends, connect kids with leaders who care about them, and support parents as they do the toughest, craziest, most rewarding job ever. We connect with people through small groups, family fun nights, and by showing up consistently in a child’s life.

Connect to Mission

Everybody can share God’s love with other people! No matter how young a person is, or how much they know, God wants to include all of us in what He’s doing. We equip kids and families to share God’s love by teaching kids to recognize opportunities to serve others, inviting families to volunteer together, and by encouraging every child with the truth that God made them for a purpose.

For a baby or a 2yr old, a comfy place to explore is the best, feeling safe is really important, and Bible stories should come with Cheerios. In our Nursery/Toddler and 2yr old classrooms, you can expect safe environments, music, snacks, and simple crafts. We want even the youngest people to know that Jesus loves them!

Toddlers &
2 year Olds

3 years - Kindergarten

For a 3yr-5yr old, church is a place to have fun with friends, God is bigger than anything scary, and glue sticks can be really exciting. In our preschool classrooms, you can expect lots of jumping, singing, dancing, fun crafts, simple lessons, games and laughter. We want every preschooler to know:

  • God LOVES me.
  • God MADE me.
  • Jesus wants to be my FRIEND forever.

Parents & Guardians

Ah, parenthood. It’s not rocket science…It’s more like brain surgery on wriggling astronauts during a lunar launch while reciting the book of Lamentations backwards. We get it! Parenting is one of the toughest jobs on the planet. And one of the most important. We want to be there with you every step of the way; from your first sleep-deprived months to the day you send your kid off to 1st grade. We’ll pray with you, laugh with you, cry with you, and celebrate the big moments with you.

Deep in my heart I say,
“The Lord is all I need; I can depend on him!”
— Lamentations 3:24

Preschool is all about sharing and we want to share a Parent Cue with you! The monthly Parent Cue shows you what we’re teaching your preschooler. And we’re guessing you don’t really need anything added to you to-do-list, right? So we’ll simply offer tips on how you can weave the basic truths we’re learning into your family’s daily life. Morning time, car time, bath time, cuddle time; it’s all useful time with your preschooler!

1st-5th Grade

For a kid in 1st-5th grade, the Bible should never be boring, worship can be really loud, and questions are a good thing. In our Elementary rooms, you can expect interactive games, relevant lessons, energetic music, and small groups. We want every elementary age child to know:

  • I need to make the wise choice.
  • I can trust God no matter what.
  • I should treat others the way I want to be treated.

Parents & Guardians

Parents, take a moment and celebrate that you’ve made it this far! You’re doing great and we want to help you keep up the good work. Did you know that from the time a child is born until they graduate high school, you’ll have 936 weekends with them? So if your child is in first grade, you have 676 weekends left. When your child is in fifth grade, you have 364 left. It goes by so fast! But, we’re ready to be there with you for the sporting events, tough questions, and growth spurts that are still to come.

God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them. We want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end, so that what you hope for may be fully realized.
— -Hebrews 6:10-11

Get your Parent Cues here! What’s a Parent Cue you ask? First, it's a prompt. A whisper in your ear: "Talk to your kid about this," or "Why not try this at dinner tonight?"

Second, CUE is a reminder to do something more to:

  • Connect to God's story.
  • Uncover something about life.
  • Experience something together.

Parent CUEs are designed to help you incorporate conversations about God and His Big Story into everyday moments—during morning time, mealtime, drive time, and bedtime.

Elevate 345 bridges the gap between kids and student ministry by helping 3rd, 4th & 5th graders to connect with God, people and mission. Students are invited to Elevate Live 345 on Wednesday nights, where they will experience the love of Jesus through Biblical teaching, discipleship, games and small groups in a fun environment designed just for them.

Students in 3rd and 4th grade are still invited to the Elementary programming at weekend services, but 5th graders are invited to join their families for weekend services.
