The Way Home’s mission is to help low income households obtain and keep safe, affordable housing through direct housing assistance services, empowerment of low income tenants and community advocacy for housing. The Way Home also offers healthy home services.
The Way Home’s services include the following areas:
Volunteer Opportunities:
Past projects have included providing Welcome Baskets for new Way Home residents, Men’s Essential Kits, School Backpacks, Children’s Books and Feed The Need Thanksgiving Meals for Way Home clients. We have also started a new program, Making A Connection, to build relationships with The Way Home residents.
Other volunteer opportunities include:
-Annual Great Waitstaff Challenge Volunteer
-The Way Home Bible Study Group Leader

| -tenant education | -apartment inspections |
| -landlord negotiations | -security deposit guarantees |
| -temporary housing | -mediation to prevent eviction |
| -family self-sufficiency coaching | -lead paint hazard reduction |
