MCC Food Pantry

Description: The MCC Food Pantry provides food and encouragement for individuals and families temporarily in need.

Volunteer Opportunities: A lot of things have to happen to have those bags of food ready to give out on distribution nights.

We need individuals or small groups to help:

Restock our food pantry by donating non-perishable food and personal care items. Click here for a comprehensive list of food items needed.
Greet people, pack and distribute food, serve coffee and snacks on distribution nights
Go food shopping - needed to check inventory and purchase what we need to keep shelves ready and to fill in holes in donations
Coordinate food drives
Deliver food – to those without transportation

Skills Needed: A love for the under-resourced and their families.

Canned meats (chicken, tuna, small ham, beef stew)
Laundry detergent and cleaning products (glass cleaner, bathroom cleaner, dish detergent)
Cooking oil
Sugar and flour (5 lb bags)
Canned fruit
Crackers
Fruit juice (64oz.) cans or plastic bags
Canned vegetables (carrots, turnip greens, corn, green beans, peas)
Cereal
Condiments (mayonnaise, ketchup, relish, mustard, pickles)
Canned pasta and pasta sauces
Toiletries (toilet paper)
