Care Net

Description:
Care Net, and its network of more than 1,100 pregnancy centers, offers hope to women facing unplanned pregnancies by providing practical help and emotional support. Care Net relies heavily on the service and commitment of community volunteers. If you have a passion to help women and serve your local community, consider becoming a volunteer.

Volunteer Opportunities:
Here are some of the many ways that you can volunteer:
  • Annual fundraisers - Fall banquet, baby bottles and spring walk-a-thon
  • Counseling - Counsel and meet with clients (training required)
  • Assist with the Earn While You Learn Program (EWYL) - Program designed to train and prepare our clients for parenthood (some training required)
  • Offer Professional Services - Doctors, lawyers, marketing, IT professionals, etc. can offer their expertise and assistance
  • Diaper/Wipe Drive - Host a drive for the center for clothing, other baby goods, car seats, etc.
  • Throw a Baby Shower - For the CareNet center in general or for a specific client at the center
  • Baby Blankets - Make baby blankets
  • Organize Baby & Maternity clothing - Come in and help organize the clothing room at the centers
  • Office Work at Centers - Assist with mailings for events and newsletters

Skills Needed:
Volunteer training will be provided.
